Turns out, drinking cups of coffee may actually be good for you! A new study has found that people who excessively drink coffee — six to eight cups a day, are less likely to die than those who don’t drink coffee. JAMA Internal Medicine conducted a study by looking at 500,000 people in the UK throughout three decades. 387,494 of the participants were coffee drinkings. People who drank two to five cups of coffee per day were 12% less likely to die over the 10 year period. The study also found that those who drank six to eight cups a day were 16% less likely to die early and those who drank eight or more were 14% less likely to die early. It didn’t matter if the coffee was caffeinated or decaf.
